Benzylpenicillin (procaine) 300 mg/ml

Cattle

Cattle, calves: For the treatment of bacterial infections in respiratory, urinary and genital systems, skin, claws and joints, caused by benzylpenicillin sensitive pathogens.

Intramuscular route. 
Calves: 15 - 20 mg benzylpenicillin, procaine/kg b.w. (corresponding to 0.75 - 1 ml/15 kg b.w) /day, for 3-7 days.
Cattle: 20 mg benzylpenicillin, procaine/kg b.w. (corresponding to 1 ml/15 kg b.w.)/day, for 3-7 days.

Meat and offal: 14 days (3 days treatment); 16 days (4-7 days trearment).
Milk: 6 days.

Pigs

Treatment of infections of the urogenitary tract caused by ß-haemolytic Streptococcus spp., musculoskeletal system caused by Streptococcus suis and skin caused by Erysipelotrix rhusiopathiae.

Intramuscular route.
Adult pigs: 20 mg benzylpenicillin, procaine/kg b.w. (corresponding to 1 ml/15 kg b.w.)/day, for 3-7 days.

Adult pigs: Meat and offal: 15 days (3 days treatment); 17 days (4-7 days treatment).

Horses

For the treatment of bacterial infections in respiratory, urinary and genital systems, skin, claws and joints, caused by benzylpenicillin sensitive pathogens.

Intramuscular route. 
15 mg benzylpenicillin, procaine/kg b.w. (corresponding to 0.5 ml/10 kg b.w.)/day, for 3-7 days. 

Meat and offal: 14 days (3 days treatment); 16 days (4-7 days treatment). 
Not authorised in mares producing milk for human consumption.
